The best places to see London's New Year's Eve fireworks

People are looking ahead to one of the biggest nights of the year, as they plan their New Year's Eve experience in London.

The highlight of the much-anticipated evening is of course the midnight firework display, widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

Hundreds of thousands of people will flock to central London on the evening to catch a glimpse of the show and we are keen to ensure everyone gets a great view as they welcome in 2020.

There are plenty of locations to get a prime, unobstructed view, but contrary to popular belief this does not include Tower Bridge.

As well as being located much further down river from Westminster, the bridge is scheduled to be open at midnight – meaning those who attempt to see the fireworks will be disappointed as they are caught behind the enclosed buildings either side of the river.

There are plenty of other options throughout the capital, however. While official tickets for the show from London City Hall are now sold out, unticketed central London locations for viewing also include the Monument, Bank and Cannon Street areas, St Paul's Cathedral, Millennium Bridge and Southwark Bridge.

However, if you are looking for a truly unforgettable way to see in the new year, why not combine the fireworks with a fine dining experience and first-class entertainment by joining us on board MV Edwardian for our only ticketed event of the year?

Tickets include a five-hour cruise on the Thames and a sensational view of the midnight fireworks display. More information on the evening can be found here. Please contact us today for more information if you would like to secure your group's place for this wonderful evening.

Whatever you decide to do, we hope you have a fantastic New Year's Eve!
