A taste of English wine on board Thames Luxury Charters

We know that having exactly the right type of wine on board your chartered TLC vessel plays a big part in your event being as spectacular as you want it to be.

It’s why we take the creation of our drinks menus seriously; our dedicated events team are enrolled with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and we hold regular tastings to make sure everything always meets your high expectations.

Now that our 2016-17 menus have arrived, we wanted to share some information about one of our favourite selections, produced right here in England by Hush Heath.

A fitting tie-in with a family company such as ourselves, the family-owned Kent estate dates back to 1503 and has been producing award-winning wine since 2002. In that time, English wines have become increasingly well respected across the globe: Hush Heath picked up four medals at the 2015 Decanter World Wine Awards and another gold at the 2015 Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships.

That’s why we’re so delighted to include these Hush Heath offerings on our fresh new menu for the new season:

Hush Heath Estate Skye’s Chardonnay 2014

A very elegant Chardonnay with citrus, thyme and pineapple aromas and a lively acidity that is balanced by rich, ripe grapefruit and apple flavours.

Hush Heath Estate Nannette’s Rose 2014

Fresh, red summer fruit with a delicate herbal finish, English acidity with hints of wild strawberry and white currant on the palate.

Hush Heath Balfour Brut Leslie’s Reserve

Fruity and appealing, with lovely roundness on the palate, refreshing acidity on the finish.

Hush Heath Balfour Rose Reserve

A crisp sparkling rosé with balanced red berry fruit

You can find out much more about these and all the many other wines we have on board the TLC vessel of your choosing by checking out the drinks menu.
